Sheikh al-Habib Condemns Khamenie’s Oppression And Use Of State-Run Media To Defend Abu Bakr
The Iranian regime carried out a new crime against freedom of expression and belief by arresting 4 employees of the state-run Channel One, including the channel’s director, and dismissing 8 others, simply because one of the channel’s programs featured a line of poetry recited by one of the speakers expressing the legitimate Islamic stance towards the First Tyrant, Abu Bakr; and the importance of cursing him in every prayer following the example of the Lady of the Women of the Worlds, Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her), as has been shown in all the historical Islamic sources, including those of the ‘Sunnis’.
Unsatisfied with these repressive measures, this tyrannical regime added insult to injury by making the head of the Broadcasting Authority issue a shameful, official apology that stooped so low as to make the cowardly insinuation that this incident was orchestrated by the followers of the ‘English Shiism’ – a term often used by Khamenie and his followers to refer to Sheikh al-Habib and his Rafidi methodology.
To make matters worse, the regime made the provocative and debased decision to replace some of the TV programs dedicated to the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) with shows aimed at defending Abu Bakr and glamorising his unsalvageable image. These programs hosted preachers of the ‘Sunni’ sect to spread lies and defend this tyrant by repeating fabricated narrations, attributed to the Imams (peace be upon them), about his so-called virtues, and to reaffirm that he is the ‘Siddiq’ [i.e. the greatest believer] of the nation.
His Eminence expressed his extreme anger after learning of the reports, stating that what Khamenie and his deviant regime had committed is ‘the gravest of major sins’, citing the words of Imam al-Baqir (peace be upon him): “The gravest of major sins is when someone says: ‘I dissociate myself from those who disavow Abu Bakr and Umar.’ ’’
His Eminence reaffirms that the tyrant Khamenie is incapable and will always remain incapable of imposing his deviant ‘batri’ beliefs on the noble Iranian people, whose own nature drives them to reject and disavow the enemies of Muhammad and his Pure Family (peace be upon them), especially since this crumbling regime is breathing its last as public anger grows and continuous defeats on the field reveal the extent of its fragility, dispelling any illusion of power and control it claims to have.
Sheikh al-Habib also pointed out the double-standards of this regime, that falsely claims to be ‘Shia’ to hide its true nature, by stating that on the one hand this regime claims to be an axis of resistance against the tyrannical and oppressive forces, while on the other it defends the worst of all tyrants who oppressed the family of Muhammad (peace be upon them) and usurped their rights. The Greatest Believer Fatima (peace be upon her) cursed Abu Bakr in every prayer for angering her, asking Allah to punish him for his part in the heinous crime of the assault on her, her home, and the desecration of her sanctity, until her passing.
His Eminence calls upon all the believers to intensify their prayers against the tyrant Khamenie – who falsely claims to be the Grand Religious Authority of the Shia – so that Allah will join him soon with Abu Bakr, Umar and Aisha, whom he devoted himself and his regime to the defence of, and the persecution of all those who follow the way of al-Zahrah (peace be upon her) in exposing them, condemning them, and publicly disavowing them.
His Eminence also calls on the Great Religious Authorities [i.e. the Marji’s] and the virtuous scholars in Iran to stand up to this tyrant, with honesty and courage, to release the prisoners and put an end to this abuse of the faith. He also calls on them to make every effort to end this regime’s squandering of the wealth of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance), that is now being used to distort the faith and desecrate the sanctity of Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) by praising their killers and enemies on state-run media channels, even during the days that renew their sadness and tragedy.
