In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful.
May Allah bless Muhammad and his Family and damn their enemies.
Sheikh Yasser Al-Habib responds to the recent tweet by Senator Rand Paul:
We as the Rafida Shia do not support the idea of generalizing all of the self-proclaimed ‘Sunni’ sect to be killers of the Shia, as the vast majority of their masses are innocent and peaceful individuals.
However, at the same time, we stress on the point that the killing of the Shia and all terrorism in the name of Islam was initiated by the founding forefathers of the self-proclaimed ‘Sunni’ sect, such as Abu Bakr, Umar, and Aisha.
One should start by looking at the history and events that transpired immediately after the murder of the Prophet Muhammad (May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him and his Family).
Looking at this period in history, we can clearly see how Islam was truly hijacked when these named historical figures who are revered by the self-proclaimed ‘Sunni’ sect, established their illegitimate & power hungry leadership during the infamous Saqifa event.
We are also able to see that the killing of the Shia was not initiated by the tragic event of Karbala. Rather, this killing was initiated since the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his Family) was murdered by his corrupt wife, Aisha.
This was followed by the brutal murder of his daughter, Fatima, and her unborn son Muhassin (peace be upon them both) by Umar al-Khattab and his accomplices.
These historical events are presented in full detail within Shi’a sources. Although to avoid bias, one can also refer to the sources of the self-proclaimed ‘Sunni’ sect, where these events are presented in a general manner as contextual pieces of evidence.
One such example: Al-Safadi, who reported from al-Natham:
Umar kicked Fatima’s stomach on the day of allegiance until she miscarried Muhsin (Muhassin).
Al-Wafi bil Wafiyat, by al-Safadi, volume 6, page 17
A second example: Al-Baladhuri reported from Sulaiman al-Taymi, from Abdullah, son of Aon – who are believed to be trustworthy:
Abu Bakr asked Ali to support him, but Ali refused, then Umar went toward Ali’s house with a burning torch. At the door, he met Fatima who said to him: “Do you intend to burn the door of my house?” Umar said: “Yes”!
Ansab al-Ashraaf, by al-Baladhuri, volume 1, page 586
Therefore, we demand that action is taken in pressurizing the American government to investigate and consider the contemporary influence of these historical figures within Muslim communities.
We emphasize that if the US government truly wishes to prevent further bloodshed occurring in the MENA region, or the West, they are first required to halt any form of support for, or cooperation with, the criminal state of so-called Saudi Arabia.
This was, like you, Senator Paul, acknowledged in The American Conservative Annual Foreign Policy Conference 2018, that so-called Saudi Arabia is ‘the worst at spreading hatred’ and ‘engender terrorism around the world.’
If the US government is consistent in its stance against terrorism, they will refrain from supporting such a regime. This not only applies to so-called Saudi Arabia but also the regime of Khamenei. As they are two sides of the same coin, causing much bloodshed.
