QUESTION:

I read one of the questions of one of the brothers who says that he imitates Sayyed Kazem Al-Haeri and the Shaykh replied that it is not permissible to imitate him because he is not the most knowledgeable (from his point of view). My question is that if the Shaykh does not see this method is it that all the Shiites in the world who do not imitate Sayyed Shirazi that their deeds are invalid only because they don’t imitate the most knowledgeable one (according to Shaykh)?!

ANSWER:

In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful.
May Allah bless Muhammad and his Family and damn their enemies.

With the Sheikh’s review,

No, their deeds are not invalid in the view of His Eminence, because if the follower of other than the Sayyed the religious Authority (may his guardianship be eternal), thinks that his religious Authority is the most knowledgeable, then his deeds are valid, and likewise if his religious Authority does not dictate the necessity of imitating the most knowledgeable one and does not forbid the follower from working upon other than him in this issue.
