Sheikh Yasser al-Habib speaks of how Umar did not implement his innovation of the Qur’an being sufficient alone and not needing the Prophetic narrations. Umar and his companion Abu Bakr did not apply this logic when dealing with the usurping of Fadak from Fatima al-Zahra (peace be upon her) when she brought evidence from the Qur’an proving her claim.
