QUESTION:
If the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his family) knew about the wickedness of Abu Bakr and Omar, about the upheaval and the attack they would perform on Al-Zahra, then why didn’t the Messenger carry out any action against them, but rather brought them closer to himself – as they (‘Sunnis’) claim?
ANSWER:
In the Name of Allah, the All-Beneficent, the All-Merciful.
May Allah bless Muhammad and his Family and damn their enemies..
After consulting the Sheikh, he said that Islam does not carry out any punishment upon someone before he performs a certain crime. So how can the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his family ) be required to punish them before they would be exposed to this Divine test after his martyrdom (may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his family), and in which Allah would witness their criminal acts?!
Allah (Exalted is He) has let all oppressors stay alive to perform their criminal acts, and He did not kill them nor keep them away before they performed their criminal acts. He let Qabeel kill Habeel, and he let Nimrod, Pharao and the tyrants kill His Prophets (may peace be upon them). He gave them the opportunity and the free will to do so because mankind has to be tested. Had Allah (the Exalted) punished these people before their performance of their criminal acts, then He would have been an oppressive God – may Allah forbid!
The Messenger of Allah, as well as all Prophets (may peace and blessings be upon them), only act in accordance to the desire and the will of Allah (Exalted is He) for what to happen on earth. Allah (Exalted is He) wanted to leave Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman and the rest of the hypocrites free to do as they wish and perform their criminal acts, after which they shall have their punishment on the Day of Resurrection. Allah (Exalted is He) says in His Book:
Let not the disbelievers think that the respite We give to them is good for themselves. We grant them respite that they may grow in iniquity, and they shall have a shameful punishment.
