QUESTION:
How is it possible that the Mahdi is still alive if he was born over 1100 years ago?

To doubt the possibility that the age of the Awaited Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) can reach a thousand years is to question the power of the Almighty God.
The consensus among all Muslims is that God is the Almighty and All-Powerful and has absolute control over the physical and chemical laws of the universe. Hence, God may grant a certain being a long age.
It is stated in the Holy Qur’an that Prophet Noah (peace be upon him) reached very old age:
And indeed, We sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them, while they were oppressive.
Qu’ran 29:15
Therefore, we know that He may grant Imam al-Mahdi (peace be upon him) an unusually long age as well.
