QUESTION:

The Second Reviver (May Allah’s mercy be upon him) was of the opinion that this narration refers to Aisha (may Allah curse her), with the argument that the letter Laam in the word ‘the woman’ is to define a specific subject and not to refer to the universal concept. That is because she (may Allah curse her) was:
Evil in her logic, because she used to fabricate narrations of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his Family), and she was evil during both her occasions of movements and of immobility (meaning that she was evil in all cases; whilst she walked, sat, stood, talked, was silent and so on), as she used to agitate for and practice war, incite tribulations, and so on.
